What is the Starbucks Bearista cup?
The Bearista is Starbucks’ bear-shaped glass cold cup. The original holds about 20 oz (590 ml) and has a clear glass body that takes on the color of whatever you pour in it, a knit-textured green beanie lid with a STARBUCKS label and a green-and-white striped straw. It is made for cold drinks: iced coffee, cold brew, iced tea and the Pink Drink.
Why the Bearista sold out in 2025
The original Bearista glass cold cup launched in U.S. coffeehouses on November 6, 2025. Videos of the cup spread on social media, and many stores sold out within hours of opening. Resale listings quickly appeared at $200 to $350, with some sellers asking far more. Starbucks said it had shipped more Bearista cups to its stores than almost any other holiday merchandise item, and still apologized to fans who left empty-handed.
The 2026 Bearista surprise box, explained
Instead of one design, the 2026 release is a collection of festive Bearista characters sold in sealed boxes. You know you are getting a Bearista glass cold cup, but not which character until you open the box. That is how a blind box works, and it is the same thrill collectors know from Pop Mart and Sonny Angel.
Starbucks has not officially published the full list of characters. Some coverage reports five designs; we will update this guide once Starbucks confirms the lineup.
